As promised in my earlier comment on the server migration post, here’s the recap of the migration and where we stand now. Everyone has been migrated to the new server and I personally verified that all data was transferred over. We will be disconnecting theta (our old server) later today if nothing else comes up. Aside from a few minor issues that popped up, the migration was relatively painless aside from the DNS propagation, which should be finished by now.
All customers are now placed on paris.vectorlevel.com, which has an upgraded CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo E8300 @ 2.83GHZ) thanks to our provider and a newly rebuilt RAID array for ultimate speed and security. Our new server naming scheme is now based on cities around the world that stand out to us and we’re starting off with Paris, France.
With this maintenance (which will not happen again for well into the forseeable future) out of the way, we can go back to focusing on developing our hosting solutions and bringing something new to the industry.
Like Orien said, the migration was overall very smooth and fotunately did not include any major complications. We appreciate everyone’s patience throughout this process.
